Investiture

The investiture ceremony is the time when a Cub, by reciting the Cub Promise, publicly announces their commitment to the Cub Law.
At the ceremony, the Cub makes a Promise to the other Cubs of their troop and to all the Cubs of the world. It is once the candidate has made this Promise that they become a Cub.
The future cub will need to learn both the Cub Promise and the Cub Law for this ceremony.

The Cub Scout Promise

The Cubs promise is :

I promise that I will do my best,
to do my duty to God and to the Queen,
to help other people,
and to keep the Cub Scout Law.

The Cub Scout Law

The Cubs law is:

Cub Scouts always do their best,
think of others before themselves,
and do a good turn every day.
